A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us directly, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.

The hosting service records standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support ordinary analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.

The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.

Links may lead to York County and South Carolina records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Those services apply their own privacy terms to information submitted there. The same is true for sponsored results supplied by a third party.

The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as the operational purposes described here require them. Because the reference does not offer accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.

This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
You may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps about you. Research found no general South Carolina consumer-privacy or data-broker deletion statute; record-specific protections instead appear in S.C. Code Title 30, Chapter 2 and other custodian rules.
